With a community of over 11,000 graduate students across 120+ programs, the University of Maryland Graduate Student Government provides a unique opportunity to connect, converse and help advocate for graduate student issues. Running for an elected position in GSG is a great way to get involved and represent your constituents as a program representative!
All currently enrolled graduate students are eligible to run for an elected position. In addition to the currently ongoing General Elections, we also run special elections to fill vacancies throughout the year. Additionally, all currently enrolled graduate students in good standing are eligible to serve on one of our committees, even if you're not an elected representative in the Assembly.
